RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach introductory undergraduate anatomy, physiology, and microbiology courses. Ability to teach Biology of Aging also desirable. Participate in course, curriculum, and program development. Advise students. Provide career guidance. Participate in campus, college, university, and community service activities. Engage in activities to stay current in the discipline. Teaching assignments can include day or evening classes, as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ph.D.in biology or related discipline required (ABD may be considered). Commitment to high-quality instruction in a student-centered environment. Interest in active and collaborative learning and in instructional use of technology is an advantage. Prior teaching experience at college or university level preferred. Enthusiasm for working in a multidisciplinary environment is important.

Penn State DuBois is located in north central Clearfield County, PA, approximately a 75 minute drive the University Park campus. Since opening its doors in 1935, thousands of degree-seeking individuals have received a world-class education delivered in a friendly, small campus setting. The campus community enrolls approximately 950 undergraduate students. Nearly one-third of these are adult learners.
Penn State DuBois offers nine Associate Degrees (Business, Human Development & Family Studies, Information Sciences & Technology, Letters, Arts, & Sciences, Materials Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Occupational
Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Wildlife Technology), six Bachelor’s Degrees (Business, Earth Sciences, Human Development & Family Studies, Information Sciences & Technology, Letters, Arts, & Sciences, plus Organizational Leadership available through Continuing Education in St. Marys ), as well as the first two years of almost all of Penn State’s 160 baccalaureate degree programs.
